The environmental plus

Recommended for sustainable development projects

Application

The Solpac sheet is a drainage geocomposite consisting of a thermoformed HDPE honeycomb geospacer, symmetrical and impermeable, combined on one or both sides with a geotextile. Its function is to drain rainwater percolating through the cover soil, preventing it from being loaded.

Solpac Nappe is used for drainage of various civil engineering structures, including roads and freeways, railroads, dams and dykes... It is also used for earthworks drainage and slope stabilization, as well as for drainage of landscaping, roofing and leak detection at waste storage facilities.
Different compressive strengths are available (up to 900 kPa) to meet the technical requirements of the project.

Assets

  • High, constant flow capacity over the long term thanks to excellent creep resistance directly linked to the honeycomb shape of the product
  • Uniform flow over the entire surface and in all possible directions, regardless of the direction in which the product is laid.
  • Hydraulic continuity ensured at the junction of two aquifers
  • Improves structural waterproofing performance by providing an additional barrier to prevent most water from reaching the lower layer
  • Quick and easy to install
  • Lengths and widths adapted to construction sites and logistical conditions (especially with large widths)
  • High angle of friction with the backing layer due to the honeycomb structure. Reduced risk of slipping
  • Cost-effective solution
  • Chemically neutral
