Road Drain is a drainage geocomposite used to protect pavements, commonly referred to as Drainage Barriers for Roadsides (EDRC).
It collects and conveys laterally migrating soil water. Water is collected over the full height of the product and flows through a perforated tube incorporated into the solution, to be transported to an appropriate discharge point.
Its geo-spacer core is impermeable, preventing any lateral migration of water.
It's a cost-effective alternative to a traditional granular solution. The solution is much simpler and faster to implement.
As the void index (i.e. the proportion of void contained in the material) of the geo-spacer is much higher than that of granular materials, water flows much faster. Road Drain has a much higher flow capacity than 50 cm of pebbles.
