A heat transfer fluid (based on monopropylene glycol) recovers energy via the horizontal collector. This energy is then released by a heat pump (brine/water) to heat or cool a room or home via underfloor heating, radiators or fan coil units, produce domestic hot water, or heat a swimming pool.
Terra Horizon collectors are available as kits (crowns, jumpers and manifold) in DN20, DN25 and DN32 with smooth geothermal pipes. Spiral-wound tubes are available as an option, to reduce fluid thermal resistance and pressure drop (improved performance by up to 20%)!
Metric marking on each crown
Collection area: 150% to 200% of the surface to be heated
Efficiency: 15 to 30 W/m2 depending on floor type
Efficiency: loose soil makes the system more efficient
System burial depth: 60 cm to 1.50 m
Installation: the collector surface must not be covered by a hard surface, or crossed by water inlets or outlets. The collector surface can be laid to grass, covered with a flower bed or bushes, or used as a vegetable garden.
Connection to a heat pump (PAC) using the 50 m connection (25 m outward, 25 m return)
External (placed in a manhole) or internal collector
