Contributes to low-carbon heating networks

Application

Terra Structure is an innovative system of geothermal piles integrated into the structure, designed to recover heat from the ground. A heat-transfer fluid (based on monopropylene glycol) recovers energy via the system and the concrete structure. This energy is then released by a heat pump (glycol/water) to heat or cool the building and produce domestic hot water.

The installation of Terra Structure piles must be part of an overall approach to sizing the building's energy requirements. It must be preceded by a number of measurements and tests:

  • Determine the building's desired energy requirements.
  • Carry out a geohydrological analysis of the soil (type, water table, water table velocity, etc.).
  • Determine the thermal characteristics of the soil
