As part of the work to build the Ariane 6 launch complex in French Guiana, porous geocomposite material solutions* were used for water drainage around the buried walls.
These solutions were laid behind the supporting walls of the launch pad and will provide vertical drainage while drawing off water from the backfill towards an outlet, thus reducing hydrostatic pressure and ensuring a long service life for the structure.
We are delighted to have played our part in this emblematic project on behalf of Eiffage and the European Space Agency. Given its technical sophistication and strategic dimension, the project confirms the quality of our geocomposite solutions. The certifications that our products benefit from and the technical support our teams provide also made the difference.

The Isocor 10 and Isocor 12 solutions used on this project offer two key functions to ensure the long service life of the structure:
Its true performance lies in its capacity to maintain its structure and initial thickness over the long term and thus guarantee high flow rates when subjected to loads at depths of 30 metres.
*Drainage geocomposite: prefabricated drainage material used to filter, transport and evacuate liquids to outlets while fighting soil erosion.
