When the fluid circulates through the probe, it transfers energy generated by an electric heater located inside the test rig to the subsoil, which absorbs it during the test. The temperature of the subsoil in contact with the geothermal probe increases to a greater or lesser degree, depending on how conductive the ground is. If the heat diffuses slowly in the ground, it has low conductivity, if it diffuses quickly, it has high conductivity. The average subsoil conductivity value is assessed by analysing the curve showing the temperature delta in the probe during the test.
Testing period: 1 week on average
Description of the service provided:
– First step: Install the testing apparatus at the site
– Second step: Perform the TRT (measure the various parameters needed to determine the ground’s conductivity over a period of 72 hours )
– Third step: Remove the testing apparatus and harvest the data
– Fourth step: Analyse the data
– Fifth and final step: Draft the final report
