Applications

Blue PER and Red PE-Xa pipes are designed for distributing cold and hot water and are ideal for underfloor heating. They can withstand wider temperature variations and are more flexible than conventional PER pipes. PE-Xa is manufactured using the Engel process which imbues them with greater resistance to mechanical stresses as well as excellent anti-ageing and anti-abrasion properties.
This product is also available in Red in an AOB (oxygen barrier) version that considerably reduces its permeability to oxygen and corrosion.
PE-Xa pipes are flexible, laggable, and can be bent when cold without special tools, thus obviating the need for welding.

Advantages

  • High temperature resistance: can be used up to 95°C with peaks of 110°C (of a few hours).
  • Excellent pressure resistance: the best reticulation offers better resistance to pressure, giving the pipe a service life of over 50 years.
  • Corrosion resistance: PE-Xa can be used with corrosive fluids.
  • Minimal load losses: the roughness coefficient is far below that for metal pipes.
  • No deposits: eliminates blockages and ensures low load losses throughout the life of the installation.
  • Abrasion resistance: PE-Xa pipe is highly resistant to abrasion.
  • Lightness: weighs 7 times less than copper and 13 times less than steel for the equivalent dimensions.
  • Insulating: low thermal conductivity coefficient for less heat lossand greater economy.
  • Memory effect: when installed at high temperature, the pipe retakes it shape, allowing repairs to be made.
