All buried paving is subject to uplift pressure which can cause water infiltration and cracking and lifting of the slabs.
Under-slab drainage is designed to limit this pressure to acceptable levels for the slabs by evacuating the infiltration water to porous drains. This also has the effect of preventing their shape from deteriorating due to water erosion. Drainage is essential for paving to limit the risk of deterioration that is often irreversible and can undermine the construction. Our Dalcor geocomposite solution fulfils this drainage role perfectly and its homogeneous and isotropic structure uniformly distributes the uplift pressure under the paving.
